Northern Alberta Dinosaur Project

The Northern Alberta Dinosaur Project (NADP) is an international collaboration dedicated to the study of Late Cretaceous environments in northwestern Alberta. Founded in 2014, the NADP was created in order to promote the study of the productive, but poorly known, Wapiti Formation. The group is currently active around the Peace Region, having located dozens of new localities and recovered hundreds of fossils since its inception. Our group is dedicated to the preservation of the fossil heritage of the area for the benefit of both local residents and the broader community, and to provide educational opportunities to help Peace Region residents better understand the natural history that surrounds them.
